after a few attempted experiments i finally got java working with my video camera and liking my code..
for the edge detection exercises i managed to get the previous x axys pixel compairison and also the previous y axys pixel compairison working. check the short demo-movie (x = green; y = red):
Keeping on with the code experiments i tried to do edge detection for each of the 3 color channels independently and getting the processed results in different output rasters. Not that i still have a edge detection algorythm working anymore.. but i got some ghosting efects and color rasters overlapping.
