This assignement's purpose was to develop story-boarding, filming and editing techniques working in groups.
The group was Chul, Nancy, Kively and me. We decided to make a video-clip for End's track: Laptop a gogo. This track inspired us on a rhythmic endless runaway and its tilte led us to imagine an american football game in which the ball was a computer... people live behind a computer screen, they can´t live without their laptop (which they take everywhere!), carefully carrying their own lives in their safe backpack.

In this exercise we tried to create a sound track that would reflect both our experiences and contradictions between two different environments. The group for this assignment was Jeff Sable and me.
Jeff as a new yorker travelled to Nepal, and myself, a portuguese coming from the interior of the country to new york city.

Here's the final animation!
and yes, the team was me and Chul and again we made a game, this week's game was: each would create an animation based in the same minimal elements: ourselves, a chair and the location would be each one's room.

the purpose of this communications lab assgniment was digital image manipulation and the use of photoshop.
in this exercise i worked with Chul Song and as a team we decided to create a game for this collage exercise: we would pick a background image and then each of us would choose more images to mix with this backround.
we both had quite a fun and that made this work even more pleasurable.
this was the result::

while searching for manipulated images I couldn´t contain myself and had to show what in my personal view is a good use of image manipulation and change.
the possibilites wided by the image/art reproducibility are in this way further away from their cult and closer to their political attitude...

soo.. after a week of blueish greys looks it was time to get this blog more beautifull, and (irony) now it certainly is!
When I started redesigning it I had not a clue where to go.. I certainly knew I wanted it to be clean and usable but was kind of bored of color schemes searching and experimentation and also really missing some design and color theory and principles..
As the time goes by and doesn´t stop (especially in nyc, where it seems like an ultra sound jetplane) the pressure was building on me and (i didn´t really wanted to do it but..) I started browsing the blogosphere world.

The first time i read that new I though it was amazing and everytime I think about it I like it even more!
let me explain, the discs aren´t filled with nothing and they're not empty too: they contain a key-code giving access to their buyers to download the music and extra artworks from the internet. This way, are the users also the builders of this product?!

... run downstairs, get inside the car, doors close behind! Safe?! Gazes become suspicious, my eyes inspect every move.. never-ending passing stations, eyes run over all faces searching for confort receiveing more fear.
Last-minute call gets me out of train, doors close behind... final relief...
