My Favoritte Animation

My favoritte site is http://www.joyproject.it/ . Typography is one of the exciting area I would like to find ways of combining with my art work and when I see a design that is balanced well with graphic components and typography I admire. Joyproject site is very dynamic and funny. You go to the site and first see the logo rotating and flipping to take its place on the site along with a text underneath it and then many circles appear to form the eyes that follow the mouse movement. Replacement of the circles and spacing between circles create 3D effect eventhough everything is 2D. Buttons have the same type of effect as you go over it text flips and creates the same 3D illusion. Collor scheme is well balanced by using warm and cold colors such as orange, purple, gray and black. Very clear and user friendly navigation. There are no extra information or designs without any functions. Each item has its purpose to be on the site and has connection with one another. Same style continues on the site pages as well. The logo in the center moves to the upper left corner and makes the movement from home page to the site page smoother. Smart way of combining interactivity with activity. User does something to play the interactive part of the animation and what will come out of that action is unpredictable. These type of surprises keep you on the site and makes you discover the each shape and its functions.
After seeing this site I came up with an idea for the animation project that is due in few weeks and below is the link to my concept and sketches.
