Technology & The Floating Boat
by Songul Aslanturk

My most negative experience with technology is having my computer froze all the time. It has to happen always when I have a tight deadline and running out of time. This type of problem makes me mad when I am very close to completing my projects especially if I did not save the file.

I was uploading the pictures onto Flickr.com yesterday and I had the same problem. I was very tired and it was really late, I wanted to go home and have some rest but my computer frozed all the time. So imagine how long it took to upload around 30 images. I was home in midnight. The picture on the left is from that experience.

I and Katie met this Sunday to see the Floating Island exibit at Pier 16 but unfortunately we haven't had chance to see it. Even though it was posted on the web that it would follow the regular schedule but due to traffic there could have been some delays, the boat didn't pass by. We have spent the whole day walking from Pier 16th to Battery park but there was no sign of the boat. We both wanted to see the Floating Island. I thought the idea was very cool and I wished that I could experience it not only watching but being actually on the boat and travelling around the island. Well I hope they extend the duration of exibit and I can see it sometime this week.

We took lots of pictures while interacting with technology. Here is the link to my flickr account - If you want to see the photos.
