DESCRIPTION: A web camera program that allows a user to change the color of their video silhouette and create different patterns on the video background by holding a colored object in one hand and moving it to different areas of the video screen.
MATERIALS: I will use Processing, an iSight camera, and a brightly colored object (such as a ball or glove). ALSO: willing human participants. The look and feel of this program could be anything from the original iPod print and broadcast campaign (silhouetted dancing people) to the swirling psychedelic mental images only Jimmy Hendrix could have achieved at Altamont.
DEVELOPMENT PLAN:
- User will hold object
- Camera will define object color to track
- User will move object to corners to change image
- Changes are random based on position of object
(future: changes could be synched to music as well)
