we want wings that have "that feeling" and we are making linkages from paper, straws, and lego (of course) to try to create the two-fixed-point movement (one for the wing itself and one for the rotating motor shaft that will give it that air-fluid movement.
OK, so we have found that making wings and legs and things is pretty complicated. We decided to tackle things separately. I took the mechanical drive train and built a proto-lego-type of the drive that would move a pin on a wheel 360 degrees.
