A physical model of my metaform is a moment of the green material is coming out ITP windows and streching out to form a green ball. It will look like a sculpture shown below which is an instant of Challenger exlosion.

stuck in somewhere between idea and representation, lost my way.
...
let's answer a couple of questions in class.
0. back and forth between digital and real space.
1. Is my idea stronger in virtual or real space?
Now it's stronger in virtual but it's definietly much stronger in real space. But, it's hard to find a way to build the real object since lots of limitations and resctrictions. I'd like to build in virtual space first.
2. Can my metaform exist in both?
Yes it can, I think.
3. What is the ultimate representation of your metaform?
Green atmosphere is dissolving into the area and people can feel it unconsciously.
-please make a graphic/visual storyboard of your project
As a kokkugia guy said, I'm done a storyboard at some level.
-write a conceptual description of the project and a breakdown of the materials/technology/event
described in manifesto already.
materials: green metal pipe or bamboo
technology: touch sensor and display
event: shown in storyboard
-post both of these to your digital sketchbook by next class.

Manifesto for Green Seed
The Big Apple has become a necropolis for
decades. Old-fashioned, overcrowded, and squalid streets. If the streets are
inconvenient for New Yorkers and visitors, it must be much inconvenient
especially for people with disabilities. Moreover, the streets are also far
from sustainability. However, a large number of ideas and technologies that
improve the streets already exist in the world and other cities are applying accessible
technologies as well as green technologies. Why not in the New York City? Make the Big Apple the Big
Green Apple not a rotten apple.
The Green Seed starts from ITP. The
meaningful ideas come out from the department. People pulled out the green movement
by themselves. It makes a core, the origin of the Big Bang which will expand to
every direction. The seed has every ideas, technologies and minds that will
improve our environment lovely.

My response to the thankful comments from my classmates. Thank you all you guys.
1. Why ITP? I think its to obvious. Pick somewhere else, and why not China Town? I think it should be in China Town.

Like the image. Like the idea of greenery. I’d like to know more about how the object is
changing over time. Seems as though it is.

What is the objects intention? Why? explosion of technology? Boundaries…..
> To stimulus awareness of people because nothing changed without the impact.
Cracking and reshaping the boundry is cool and means a lot for existing living area.

assignment, and I’m really curious to see how you’re tying this big
bang, all-encompassing concept into your form.

I don’t understand the metaform or the intentions

Confusing What if there is already the function for the target? For example edge of sideways already have angle for the wheel chair or stroller.

I enjoy the green aspects, how is this metaform going to grow? how is
this grow going to be expressed and related to the site is comming from?

I like that. your metaform idea has some kind of performance aspect,
but are you really think you can make a friendly street with green
cloth? after that I can be another wastes in this city.

How does one transform to another? i think the in between can be very interesting.
are u thinking to do the transformation? if yes, it will be an organic way? or mechanical way?
> I didn't think about it seriously, but it will be great when I concentrate on the transformation in between. Organic way would be nice if I can do it in real world.
Why don’t you make a killer image? Better graphic models make your idea better.
would this be a temporary form? does the explosion happen once? or
maybe an aspect of the form could represent a big bang, and then return
to a “before” state.

Manifesto for Green Apple (tentative)
One of old modern cities around the world, New York City is old enough to give its crown to other cities. New York City becomes a necropolis for decades. The city is full of rats, dirty, especially not in an expensive residential area. The streets were designed a hundred years ago and rarely improved by cities. At that time there were no concepts of disabled-friendly or Eco-friendly street. All streets are even hard to walk through for all people.
All ideas and technologies are already out there and cities in other developed countries have applied those devices and systems in real streets such as separated disposal bins, solar panel for signal lights, slides for wheelchair, pavements for blind people, and auditory guidance for blind.
There are lots of things already out there. Why not in New York City. Make the big apple the big green apple not a rotten apple.
This movement starts from ITP, interactive telecommunications program, at New York University, located in Broadway and Waverly, 4th floor. The meaningful technologies about to come out of the department. Green clothes will be pulled out by people, human, and citizen whoever want to participate in this movement. The clothes will be wound around the core. The origin of universe. Big Bang. The core has everything. Every ideas and technologies which change and improve our environment lovely.
Explosion, the core explodes to every direction as it covers and winds the objects which need touch to be a lovely street or the things already fit to lovely street. The start of change is simple. We can do it without finding new fancy one. Use existing things first.

After the explosion the cylinder, the origin of the Big Bang, will be an arouser which give people an information about lovely street. It could contain how devices and systems work . It could display environmental indexes. It could be a meeting point and get an meaningful stories while waiting. An indicator of estimated level of sea caused by global warming.
