The goal of the project is to import user into the animation as a leading character, then user can see himself acting on the screen.
I cut the whole building process into three parts. First, I will make an animation on Flash and set the face of target character as a red ball. Then the animation will be exported as .mov file, thus it can be played on Processing.
About 3 years ago, under the pressure from building industry, the government approved a plan of renewing residence in town. The banks took advantage of the occasion cooperating with building industry and offering low interest loan for people under 40, the generation which was unable to bought an apartment in town. At that time, this seems the only chance I could have my own living space that I bought an apartment in town even though I disapproved the plan. The residence area I lived now has more than 10 thousand units, to be more specifically, it is a small town. But thanks to techonology, we are allocated to live and work in different time and ourown space that I hardly feel living in a crowded space.
Webcam is a useful sesor for detecting movement and changing color. Combining with what I planned for p-com midterm project, I plan to use processing to analyse the image from webcam, turn out some numbers that represent the changing of image, then upload those number to arduino to control shadow puppet. The ideal achievement would be the shadow puppet act just like user's movement.
