On Oct 15, we'll be visiting the:

New York City Joint Traffic Operations Center (New York City Department of Transportation, New York City Police Department, New York State Department of Transportation)

The tour of the recently constructed New York City Joint Transportation Management Center focuses on around-the-clock coordination and communication among the NYC Department of Transportation, NYC Police Department, NYS Department of Transportation and other transportation partners in the metropolitan area to manage daily transportation incidents, reduce congestion on some of the busiest expressways in the world and manage the NYC traffic signals central control system. The tour takes about an hour, after which we'll return to ITP and discuss.

Please be on time. The tour will start at 3:30. I realize this will cause a conflict for a couple of you with 3:30 classes. If you're not going to make it for any reason, please let me know in advance.
