What does the Internet look and feel like to you?
✧⊹✧⊹✧⊹✧⊹✧⊹✧⊹✧⊹✧⊹✧
In this session, we'll attempt to explain network basics in the most simple, accessible, digestible way to fellow artists / organizers / workers who wield and reside with computer tech (& would probably be described as “tech-savvy“ in capitalist language). We deal with networking all the time -- but how does the Internet™️ work? how do we make it work for us? How should we critically re-make, re-ject, and re-shape it for a better future?
Topics we'll discuss:
- Existing practices and frameworks of community tech and economies
- Protest technologies and networks beyond the Internet
- Small tech, feral web, transfeminist servers, & more radical possibilities
- Self hosting, decentralized networks & other tools we can empower ourselves with
Everyone welcome! Bring a laptop & paper & pen :)
