There's a better way to cast spells and do magic as a muggle than taking a Kwikspell course (which is useless unless you are a witch/wizard); and that better way is harnessing the power of technology!

In this session we will go over a few ways people (including ones at Universal Studios) have achieved these skills, and then build our own spell-casting program to do some simple tasks like controlling lights and IoT devices. We will build our program using a python package I've created using Computer vision & Machine Learning for detection of wand movements. I will briefly go over the algorithms used and then talk about ways you can modify or use the Spell Detector package to expand your magical capabilities.

This would be quick lecture + workshop style session so bring your computers with working cameras if you want to follow along. Some programming knowledge is assumed if you want to build your own magical objects but I will also have a demo script that you can stick to or use as a guide.
