Welcome to Intro to Arduino! In this session, I'll be teaching people the basics of Arduino. We'll be learning how to blink an LED, use buttons, understand the serial monitor, and create an animation with multiple LEDS!
This session is for those who have heard about Arduino but have never had the chance to learn or just want to know what all the hype is about! No coding experience is necessary and those who have never coded will find this session to be a fun soft intro into C++.
If you can, before the session download the Arduino IDE at https://www.arduino.cc/en/software Versions 2.3.2 and 1.8.19 work best!
Bringing your own Arduino is encouraged as they are in limited supply!
Arduinos are available to check out at https://itp.nyu.edu/er/ For this session you can check out the Arduino 101.
If you are unable to check out an Arduino or are attending an online session and do not have access to an Arduino, you can follow along on the online Arduino simulator: https://wokwi.com/arduino
