For years I wanted to do abstract 3D animation with cool shapes and colors. I found spline a year ago and have been creating abstract 3D animations since then. From small particle spirals to big blue blobs, spline is a compact yet powerful tool for those wanting to create 3D works and export that to the web.

The goal of this session is to introduce the interface and walk away with a small blue blob that you can then export and embed into a website of your choice. We will not be actively placing it in a website, but I will also show you the offerings that they provide. If we have time we can also run through very quickly how to create something abstract from start to finish while covering my favorite tools for the job.

This course is an introductory course, but it is nice to understand some basics about the 3D perspective such as how to navigate in 3D space. The goal is to help you understand the tool enough to have ideas of what to make in the future.
