For the first 20 minutes, we will cover foundational guidelines and protocols for designing data visualizations, showcase example visualizations, and discuss the impact of data visualizations today.

Afterwards, we will have a 40 minute workshop where we will all create our own data visualizations using Tableau Public, a free data visualization software.
