In four weeks, we will explore the notion of 3D printing as it exists as a special craft within the field of fashion and wearable design. Participants will learn how ‘garments’ are created, the messages they convey, and the prototyping process involved in bringing them to life. The sessions will provide an introduction for individuals to explore traditional and experimental methods of fabricating 3D printed designs for the human body, fostering personal perspectives and innovative ideas.
We will analyze existing 3D printed wearable designs and investigate different strategies, application methods, and techniques utilized. Concepts may be realized through textile design, wearable structure, sketch, garment development, simple video, fashion styling, and/or photography.
