Session Recording Part 1 Here is the first part, maybe a counselor can add part 2!
In this session, we will make a pop-up swatchbook!
What's a pop-up swatchbook?
It's a book filled with paper engineering techniques that can be referenced every time you make a pop-up book, pop-up card, or any other feat of paper engineering.
Each page will feature a basic mechanism that we'll build together, and then we will bind them into a little book. After our swatchbooks are finished, we'll have some time to play with combining mechanisms and make pop-up cards or other paper mechanism projects.
This is a hands-on, relaxing, and fun workshop. Join us!
Please bring as many of these tools as possible:
• A pair of scissors suitable for paper cutting
• A Bone Folder, or similar utensil (the back of a pen works too!)
• A Ruler - Preferably a metal one with cork on the backside
• An Xacto knife, box cutter, or other paper-cutting blade
• A Glue Stick
• A cutting mat or cardboard to use as a spoil board
• I will provide white cardstock, but feel free to bring your own paper
