In this workshop Josh will introduce and give an in depth look at VDMX, a popular visual performance tool for Mac.
Learn how to use VDMX, a versatile video performance tool that can be used for concert visuals, live cinema, video installations, video production, and more. Learn about how MIDI controllers are used for visual performance. Learn how to integrate real-time video and audio-reactive components. Learn how to apply a wide spectrum of visual effects. Become familiar with some similar and adjacent products including Resolve, Touch Designer, and Vuo. Will also cover some best practices for visual performance.
VDMX requires a Mac. We will introduce other products that work on Windows computers, but will not be teaching them directly.
