Ableton 2: Music from Outer Space

What if music wasn’t made by humans? What if you lived on a planet with different gravity, air pressure, and auditory systems? This intermediate workshop invites you to explore speculative sound design and experimental composition through a series of thought experiments. You’ll learn to use a custom-built iOS tool (iPhone or iPad required) that streams live electromagnetic energy data from space and converts it to MIDI commands you can use to shape your compositions in Ableton. Prior experience with Ableton recommended.
