Ableton 3: Biofeedback Music (Hearts & Minds)

In this advanced workshop, we’ll go deep into biosensors, data sonification, and musical neurofeedback. You’ll learn how to connect a Muse 2 EEG headband (provided) to Ableton using a P5.js interface (Mac laptop and Chrome browser required), turning brainwaves and heartbeat data into real-time MIDI that triggers and manipulates your sounds in Ableton. We’ll discuss brainwaves and what they indicate about your mental state, and explore concepts of consciousness, synchrony, and intimacy via technology. Prior experience with Ableton strongly encouraged.
