Acrylic Keychains: A Laser Cutter Workshop

This is a beginner friendly workshop that will walk you through basics of illustrator tools, how to set up the drawing file, and operate the laser cutter.

The first 30 minutes will cover the basic drawing properties in illustrator and file set up for our Epilog machines. The remaining hour, you can design your keychain in illustrator and taking turns cutting on the machines.

Materials & Tools: ** An assortment of acrylic will be provided (2.5" W x 2.5" L x ⅛" thick). If you have a specific color way in mind, you are welcome to bring your own acrylic (make sure it is not polycarbonate). ** Please bring a computer with Illustrator or buddy up with someone who has the program already installed. ** Optional: thumb drive (USB-A or USB-C). This is the easiest way to bring a sketch into the computers connected to the laser cutters

you must complete shop safety training prior to this session, as the laser cutter is a part of the shop resources
