What if your computer wasn’t a closed system, but a playground for experimentation?

In this hands-on, imaginative workshop, we’ll explore how to creatively hack and rewire the ways we interact with our machines. Using accessible tools like MediaPipe and PyAutoGUI, we’ll dive into the physical and digital interfaces of our own laptops — webcams, keyboards, browsers — and transform them into sites of artistic, political, and performative exploration.

Inspired by Portales, a body-tracking project that turns Google Street View into a movement-based experience, we’ll prototype speculative interfaces that challenge conventional human-computer interaction. Think micro-tools that respond to your gestures, poetic hacks that subvert the browser, or entirely new modes of navigating digital space.

This is not just a coding session — it’s a space to break, bend, and rebuild the systems that mediate our digital lives. No advanced programming knowledge is required, just curiosity and a playful spirit.

Come experiment, speculate, and reimagine how we connect with our machines — and each other.
