Grab some food (snacks not a full meal!) and join us for a panel discussion organized by Sharon De La Cruz.
In this discussion, artists and technologists LaJuné McMillian and Catherine Ochún explore the relationship between embodiment and archive through the lens of Black and Afro-diasporic experience. They examine how digital tools—from motion capture to immersive environments—can preserve, transform, and challenge traditional notions of the archive by centering the body as both a site of knowledge and resistance. Through dialogue, they reflect on their practices as acts of reclamation, using movement, ritual, and storytelling to disrupt colonial frameworks and reimagine what it means to document memory, identity, and presence.
