Join us for a critical theory discussion on how e-technology has shaped and influenced our perceptions of the world! We'll discuss topics of interface bias (structure and access), phone-centric framing, and question what data gets recorded and what doesn't within interfaces.
The session will be: (1) a short introduction to recent shifts in our perceptions, interface bias, and references. (2) open floor discussion on the topics (3) a short prototyping session where we will ideate ways to make intentionally inaccessible, fully biased interfaces (4) ending reflection!
Materials: Any medium to prototype a biased interface! No technical proficiency needed in any of this, just ideas to try and realize, whether an MVP or the idea of an MVP.
You can make a paper prototype, code, create a TouchDesigner system, Arduino, digital tools, etc. Anything is cool!
