On Observation: Notebooks to ML Models

A presentation and a discussion about observation: what we observe, how we do it, and what it means. For people that like to look at stuff, draw people on the subway, listen to birds, make field recordings, take notes on the weather, capture photos or anything else.

We'll talk about the history of weather stations, borrow ideas from birdwatching and science, and learn about tech tools for observation: from optics to machine learning. The second half will be an open ended discussion with an opportunity to share what you get excited about observing and the methods you use.
