Beaded Jewelry Making Basics

Come learn how to make beaded jewelry!

We'll go through basic techniques using eye and head pins, jump rings, knot covers and crimps, and string. Then, we'll look at common patterns in beaded jewelry. The rest of the time we'll spend actually making something using the techniques. We'll assume no background knowledge or experience.

If we have time, we'll look at how to reverse engineer jewelry designs from Pinterest :)

SUPPLIES: - PLEASE bring pliers (needlenose preferred) if you have them. In general, we need two pairs (one for each hand) to work effectively. ITP has six or so pairs. I think I'll have 4-5 spares. Those will be first come first serve. If we don't have enough pliers, folks can also pair up to create something together.

I'll bring some basic beads and cheap supplies, but if you want to create something super nice, BYOB (bring your own beads) is recommended. By the way, a bead is anything with a hole in it. Buttons, yubikeys, aluminum can pull tabs..
