While opera and open source hardware might seem like an unusual combination, for Primero Sueño, performed at The Met - Cloisters, wearable technology was baked into the vision from the start. These wearables not only enhanced the storytelling, but fulfilled key technical needs in the sensitive museum space: sound, light & projection. This talk is a redux of the talk we gave at Open Hardware Summit 2026 which sadly has a really terrible recording, so we would love you to have a chance to hear it. We will also have the prototypes and wearables available to see in-person.
