There have been many camp firsts this year including Oculus Rift worlds, Bluetooth LE gadgets and Fletcher winning at foosball, but no one was ready for our first UFO!
"Yes it was very strange when they first appeared at ITP," says counselor and professional dronologist Kristina Budelis, "but it looks like they are here to stay!"
Counselor Fletcher Bach, a leading expert on these mysterious creatures, has been studying their anatomy for some time. "You see, the thing is they fly with propellors," he explains to fascinated camper John Koors, "and they only appear menacing as part of an evolutionary response to predators and privacy issues, but once you get to know them they are rather cuddly."
No one knows what the fate of humanity will be at the mercy of these airborne provocateurs, but one thing is certain: they sure look cool.

This year at camp is not just about the mind, but also the body and soul. Counselor and certified Yoga instructor, Wyna Liu, led campers in a yoga workshops earlier in camp.
"Camp can be challenging," one camper said whilst twisting their torso in the famed pretzel position, "but a little yoga can really put the mind at ease and let the ideas flow...."
When I asked Wyna for a comment on how it feels to lead yoga at camp she declined to comment, though her mid-air levitation technique was very impressive.

We're hosting a competition to create a new, creative campfire for our Friday fireside chats! This competition is open to all campers, and the challenge is simple: create a imaginative and compelling "fire" that can be displayed in the lounge. It can be screen-based (software or media) or physical; anything but a real fire goes!
All entries must be submitted by Friday at 5pm. To submit, please swing by the counselor stand to drop off your campfire, whether it be digital files or a physical object.
Campfires will be shown at 6PM at the start of Friday Fireside chat. A jury of Camp Counselors will score the entries and a winner will be determined and announced following the Fireside Chat. Entries will be rated on campiness, quality of production, and awesomeness. The creator of the winning campfire will receive a FREE RIDE to ITP Camp 2015!
Note: The point of this competition is to create a repository of campfires that can be used for future camp fun. By entering your campfire in the campfire competition you consent to the use of your campfire at other ITP Camp events.
