Mappathon: Origami Projection Mapping
Session Leaders: CHiKA
Created By: CHiKA
Mappathonâ„¢ is inspired by events called hackathons where computer programmers, graphic designers, interface designers and project managers collaborate intensively on software projects in limited time.
This 3 hours session goes over the latest projection mapping technology and techniques to students, enabling them to create a site-specific interactive or static projection mapping installation.
The course has three learning stages: Making animation from static images and mixing video contents, How to create a projection mapping on 3-dimensional Origami pyramid surfaces, and making an installation.
During all stages, there is a strong emphasis on experiential learning, presentation and sharing, and teamwork. The students will experience the process of an art installation from concept to public presentation, enhancing the students’ artistic development a great deal.
When you sign up this session, the students get 30-day full access to Modul8, MadMapper, and Vezer.
