Artist Talk: Body Sculptures and Role-Play

Interdisciplinary artist Valerie Carew will present her body based, performative sculptural work. Carew will discuss body sculptures as an evocative way to extend body language and communicate ideas by using the human form as a substrate for art making. Part of her presentation will show her MFA thesis work from OCAD University, which features biomimetic role-play of species in southern Ontario farmland ecosystems.
