Sunny Sunday

Written by Alden Jones on June 17, 2018, 7:38pm

It was really super beautiful out today, a beautiful sunny day for a field trip! And some campers took advantage of this by following Casey on a Feld Trip to Central Park this morning.

Back at Tisch, Rina got us started with an awesome jewelry making session, Jewelry 101 - All that Glitters Isn’t Always Gold! From acrylic to paper, consider getting creative with some of the materials we have around the floor if you’re in need of some new accessories.

Pedro helped us get our computers to talk all over again Ok Robot Reboot! - Intro to Voice User Interfaces (Part 2). None of them turned into SkyNet... yet.

After a bit of lunch CHiKA then led us on a long (five hours!) deep dive into projection mapping with Map on Mask. Everyone better be an expert now 👼.

Oren threw some shade (sorry) today teaching us to make art with our graphics cards in Making Art With Your Graphics Card: Intro to Shaders.

Plastic might not seem like the most fun material but Ridwan showed us otherwise in Storytelling with Plastics.

Ever considered a cross country trip? How about on your bike? Andrew tells us about his adventures in How to ride your bicycle across America. Missed it? Check out his trip at myterribleidea.tumblr.com

Cedric set up the perfect class for those of us who think IoT can be pretty dumb, with Wireless & Tangible Interactive Media in the era of the Internet Of Shit!? (2nd edition). What better way to make things better than to start making it ourselves?

Getting into the evening hours, Nouf got us started on all kinds of 3D modeling tasks Zaha Hadid 101: 3D Modeling in Rhino and Grasshopper.

Katya then taught us how to make our projects green and lean with Eco & Budget-friendly, Free-form Enclosures from Paper Mush. Not only good for the planet but good for our portfolios too...

Terrick then put our bodies in the digital world in 3D Scan Yourself. Mysterious doppelgangers of campers then started appearing throughout the city...

Sunday's over but we've got another full week ahead of us, let's get at it!
