Best Tuesday!

Good Morning! Another great day at camp, with a lot of outdoor and active sessions today, taking advantage of the great weather to get our bodies moving. A lot of talk of pool noodles among the campers today, has anyone been checking on them?
We start with yoga again with Gail’s now classic Kundalini Yoga Brain Break to get us up and limber.
Then Arantxa got campers off the itp floor and out into the world with The Digital Public Space and got our minds going with a discussion of the quasi private public space of the internet.
Casey got us engaged with developing new camp community rituals in Ritual Design Lab. What kinds of new rituals should we adopt? I’m thinking “pool noodle fights†🤔.
Jina got us falling in love with photoshop all over again with You Don’t Know Your Face Yet 2. I immediately edited all pictures of me to look like pool noodles. Sorry if you don’t get the joke, it’s a camp insider thing.
No mixed signals here! Only good vibes happening in Kate’s Haptic Feedback, where we learned how to make sure our interactions are giving us the feedback we don’t even know we crave.
Brett got us off the ITP floor again with Walk on the Wild Side - American Museum of Natural History Outing. Now that I think of it I haven’t seen any of the campers who left on the field trip since they left… we might be dealing with a Night at the Museum situation here.
Thea is just the best at getting us to move our bodies around and have fun, today her Movement play: playful patterns for mobility had us rolling around, hopping, crawling, it was great.
We all want to be more sustainable in our practices and Daniel showed us a path to get there with Sustainable Crafting, Production and Consumption, and then Sonali & Yoshi showed us how to edit our videos with Video Workflow with Adobe Premiere Pro 101. Maybe one day we’ll have sustainable video editing, would we need solar panels for that?
Is the blockchain like a lego necklace? Well I sure thought it was before I took Leandra’s Intro to Ethereum Smart Contracts with Solidity. Now I know better 🤗
Then Greg shared some of his New Instruments For Musical Expression magic with Perform Some Music! Play Your One Minute Compositions!
Jonny shared some of his recent research and the work of some of his colleagues at the Recurse Center with Programmable Room Workshop w/ Recurse Alumni Jonathan Dahan. Apparently they have some kind of “smart†room there. Does that mean all other rooms are automatically dumb rooms?
Casey helped us end the day by getting us to break out of our shells in Play! Improv Games for Everyone, where we made sure to Yes, And our hearts out.
