A packed day today, Jonah started us off eaaarly this morning (10AM!) with some group texting in interactive installation: Engaging Mobile Audiences With SMS: Creating Interactive Displays In Public Space, and then Anita brought us through the lunch hour giving us some illustrator skills in Intro To Adobe Illustrator.
Then we built our own pianos with Matt in Creating Player Pianos With MaxMSPJitter and built our own tiny TVs with Nick in Big Picture: Tiny Screens. What will we be building next 🤔 Modems? Game consoles?
Chris then helped usher us toward the robot apocalypse by making our emotions intelligible to machines in Workshop on Heightening Emotional AI. Things got pretty intense!
Day still had plenty to offer even after all that. After teatime we got into the real business. The partytime business. We got pretty lit as Brandon taught us how to use addressable LEDs in Light It Up, which were the perfect visual accompaniment to the music we were making with Andrew in Algorave: Live Coding Music.
Then from the party back to the home: Sebastian helped us design our own 3d printed plant home in Succulent Planter - Fusion 360 intro and 3D printing, and then from learning how to keep our plant healthy and housed we learned how to keep our community healthy with Casey's The Dark Arts: Brainwashing, Cults, and What Separates Healthy from Unhealthy Communities.
