Games (and similar interactive experiences) are a unique storytelling medium in that they can a) leverage process and embodiment to allow players to experience stories for themselves; b) permit reciprocal narrative exchange, where players can add to existing stories or create wholly new ones.
In this session, we'll 1) play some weird games, 2) discuss how narratives functions within games, and 3) create, test, & critique concepts for interactive storytelling experiences.
The session will include a lecture component, a play component and a design component. Experience with game design is not necessary. The design component will focus on analogue games, unless participants bring in their own software skills and an ability to code at breakneck speed.

Is there the possibility of a repeat session due to the waitlist, or?
