Designing Play for the Gamer in All of Us
How do you intentionally design, fun, unpredictable play? This is a hard question that game & experience designers constantly struggle with. During this session we will explore different ways to design playful experiences, from recognizing the potential for extended play in fun activities to crafting the right mechanics to support an aesthetic goal. Along the way we'll play a series of simple physical games based around the same mechanic and discuss the different feeling their play evokes.
