The Artist Interview and Video Profiles

If you're an artist and/or videomaker, this casual presentation/conversation session will likely be of interest. I'm an ITP grad from '11 and during my five years working on a Global Art Initiative at the Guggenheim Museum, I conducted interviews with over 50 artists from around the world. I'll be sharing what I've learned about what questions artists at this level love to answer, what they cringe at, how to allow for an organic flow during the interview while also ensuring that they say what's needed for the storyline. On the production side, I'll also be talking about filming in museums, galleries, artist studios, what equipment works and what doesn't, what kind of crew is best, and all kinds of editing strategies.
