NEW TIME TO AVOID OVERLAP
What are glitches if not partial errors, indication of technical malfunction in digital technology? How do we understand glitches in digital art, how do we create and participate? In this session, we will be diving into writings and theories that critically engage with glitch and glitch aesthetics, and discuss glitches, noises and errors in photography, video art and digital production.
After the presentation, I will show a demo on TouchDesigner, a node-based visual programming tool, introducing some of my favorite tools to create data-moshing, slit-scanning, and other visual effects with live video feed. This is a beginner-friendly session, no previous TouchDesigner or coding experience required!
If you prepare to follow along, install the software and get a non-commercial license for free by visiting here.
