Come one, come all!
In this session we will be exploring the foundational strategies, narrative mechanics, and authoring paradigms for immersive experience design. We will emphasize narrative over technology, privileging the body over the interface for a deep dive into the poetics of human-computer interaction toward performance, gaming, storytelling, perception, and world-building. This workshop will begin with a short presentation, where I will provide an overview of some precedents that are coming to define the emerging landscape of interactive next-gen entertainment, from which point we'll proceed with a collaborative design exercise and a bout of rapid prototyping. We will close with some play tests and final thoughts...
All levels of experience and technical capability are welcome.
