ITP Camp 2022

Prototyping with Cardboard Part Two

In the last session, we practiced combining two pieces of cardboard with a smooth-looking edge, bending the cardboard to wrap it around a circle, and making a little cup at the end. If you didn't come to this session or want to review the session you can find the recording from this link: https://nyu.zoom.us/rec/play/nFYHLMyTbT4cGMDrCdZhUsW5bflUJaRJ0mxJBpQW3QaZie8C3vcHj84Xpuf9bg2u-E9cahXM8PbnEPI.391OBqVHnTGiVwZ1?continueMode=true&xzmrtaid=elVo1yqXTbO0tEAxIoNWPg.1654734859947.26579dd519bc4b07ff3d653b34fcf4de&xzm_rhtaid=972

For this new session, we will cover more techniques of cardboard modeling. Then you will team up with other students to brainstorm ideas to prototype or develop your own project using the techniques that we have learned. Cardboard will be the main material but you are also encouraged to use other materials that you can find on the floor. You can also use all the tools available at the shop to accomplish your goal. At the end of the session, you will have the chance to present your project to other campers and receive their feedback.
