Brooklyn is the origin of the extrapolation factory practices. Futurists mixed fictitious future supplies with sober goods on the 99-cent store shelves to create narrative contexts of a possible future they deduced.
We are going to explore the extrapolation process in this two-part workshop. Part-1 introduces classic toolsets for developing future extrapolation based on emerging trends. Participants are encouraged to execute experiments through rigorous processes while staying open to bold anticipations. Part-2 is hands-on time to transfer random objects into fictitious artifacts and put them in a scenario that reflects the fresh future visions.
Have fun, futurists!
