Most people hate the sound of their voices when recorded and played back, but this doesn't have to be the case!
If you have ever wanted or needed to record audio or voice for a project, be it for a video, interactive experience, or recorded poem piece, but didn't know to get the most out of your voice or microphone, this session is for you!
This session will outline the basics of:
-Microphones and what sets them apart from each other. - How to set up a proper recording environment, including the required equipment. -The basics of how to pace yourself when reading a script. -How to best edit and master your recording after the fact to get the most out of your voice. -Basic principles of sound recording with zoom brand recorders.
This session will outline the use of Adobe's audition audio program, though this is not a required software for the lesson. If you do not have access to this software, the free alternative Audacity will suit you just as well!
