The goal of this session is for the participant to share information and experiences about personal contact with individuals affected from any one of the many manifestations of dementia.

• My personal history with dementia:

• When I was contacted for an interview by a Caregiver Agency specializing in dementia I knew little about this illness. After an orientation I was offered employment as a paid caregiver. Two helpful lectures followed. I have now worked with two male clients learning that each person responds differently to short term memory loss. For individuals involved, dementia can be a painful subject and often difficult to address.

Everyone is welcome as a participant or observer.
