  1. Hessa Al-Mohannadi is a graduate student at New York University. She is studying Media, Culture and Communication with a focus on transnational and global communications. Hessa is exploring through her course how media tools can be used effectively in Middle Eastern cultures. She would like to further study and reflect on the relationship between new media and politics in the Middle Eastern context, especially in light of recent political developments in the region.

  3. Renata Kuba is a brazilian graphic designer, who has been working with design since 2009. Five years later, she moved to New York in order to improve her knowledges in other fields of design, such as interaction design and web programming, and then, combine those skills into her projects. Currently, she is a student at NYU-ITP and also works as a freelance.

      Since 2009 Renata Kuba was a graphic designer in Brazil. She’s recently moved to New York to pursue a master’s degree in interaction design, web design, and user experience design at the (renowned )Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU.   5. Stream Gao is an entrepreneur, creative coder and interaction designer who specializes in web and mobile application. She also has experience in video & sound, 3D animation and performance.

    Stream received her BE in Digital Media Art last year in Beijing, China. She is a current master candidate of Interactive Telecommunications Program at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.

    Before Stream came to the United States, she interned at Youku as an Android developer. She also has been running a startup in China.Stream’s interests cover various areas but especially in dance. She participated and/or organized
    lots of large-scale performances in China include those in CCTV-3, National Stadium and etc.

Moon is particularly known for his visualization of concept, data, movement and sound and his innovative use of lighting and dance in close collaboration with choreographers and dancers.

          His productions have been exhibited most recently at BAM in NYC and in the most prestigious museums in Korea, such as Seoul Arts Center, Sangsangmadang, and Art Center Nabi. His lighting design was shown in 100% Design London, being funded by Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) and supported by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). Also, in 2012 his team created ‘PinLight’, awarded from Seoul Art Space Geumcheon, Seoul City.

          Moon received his BFA from Hongik University in graphic and interaction design in South Korea, and is currently a master’s candidate at ITP/NYU(2015).

    She received her BA from Yonsei University in Communication and Media studies in South Korea and her documentary has been shown at KBS that is a national broadcasting station in South Korea, and continues to create stories with data analyzing and visualization. Currently she is a master’s candidate at ITP/ NYU.

    A saying, ‘Design is not made by hands, but on foot.’, has long inspired him and he has come to understand that a diverse experience is the most valuable asset, so to this day, he has tried to have as many varied experience as possible.

  10. Rosalie Yu is a visual designer, creative coder, maker, photographer and painter. Her work draws inspiration from the fields of cognitive science, storytelling, art and technology, and spans multiple artistic platforms including interactive installation, live performance and conceptual art. She strives to incorporate narratives in her art in order to to explore the connection of our daily lives to emerging technologies, and to bridge human and machine intelligence.

    Yu is a masters candidate (’15) at NYU’s interactive telecommunications program. She is an fine artist with a BA in psychology and film from UCLA.

  11. Xiaolong Mou is a “artist” who used to study Glass Art for 4 years in Tsinghua University as an undergraduate degree student but found himself interested in interaction design when getting in touch with the technology.
    Because he really wished to become a designer so he found a lot internship before graduated and finally worked as a UI designer for two year.
    During the work, he realized his insufficient in UX and coding, so he thinked he need to learn more knowledge in these field so that’s why he is at ITP now.

  12. Isi Azu is an NYC based animator, sculptor and product designer. She is a master’s candidate at NYU’s ITP interested in hacking current technologies to design hyper immersive virtual environments.

    Her studies on digital art and its relationship to public and personal spaces have been shown in exhibitions across the US and Nigeria. Her background is in sculpting, jewelry design and creative coding.
