Start Of Construction
During your childhood, what was the one plaything we all had?…(come on you know the answer) A BOX. That box was everything. It was a fort, a car, a house, a rocket ship, a secret club house, it’s the one thing that kids are happy with and doesn’t need fancy flashy color or gadgets to catch interest. Playing with it was all about the imagination and ...
The Plan
This is the plan…or the tentative plan of what we hope to accomplish….Important side note:- The little boy in the bottom left hand corner has become our mascot. That drawing helped us to solidify and keep in mind what we want to portray in our exhibit. He ...
Who are you?
We all can answer this, but for some kids (and teenagers and even adults) it’s a hard question to think about, let alone provide an answer. Because for some, who they are has already been decided based on the color of their skin, stereotypes, prejudices, and misguided opinions.
Through our check in presentation, I felt we solidified what we wanted to do, (mainly the half-baked ideas ...

At the end of this long process we arrived at two projects and two teams for the ...
Finally a breakthrough
I felt that last night was a breakthrough not only for the group (because it was) but for myself. I finally opened up (more then I normally do) to the group with thoughts, ideas, and questions.
Throughout this entire process, I’ve been surrounded by so many amazing awesome super smart people that have accomplished so much in their career…that it intimidated me a bit, mainly the ...
Listen to the Small Fry…they know what they’re talking about
There are many voices that talk about Black Culture and Black Lives Matter, but it’s not generally geared towards children. These issues affect them as much as it affect adults; if children have a way to express themselves while keeping composure they can and will reach many more people in my opinion than the viral video clips of all the harm being done to black people. ...
Moving past the learning and observing into positive doing….HOW?
Today was about quick mechanisms and forming concepts to understand the relationship between objects and values. Values meaning the ideals of importance to us (recognition, listening, emotions, etc) and objects (binoculars, teddy bears, swing sets) as the mediators that transforms the values through experience.
In coming up with the experiences that kids can participate in that will link objects to values, the notion of how can ...
