Fred Carl

A composer, musical director and flutist, Fred’s music theatre work has appeared at Penumbra Theater, LaMaMa, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the New School, the Public Theater, the Whitney Museum, and the National Black Arts Festival, among other venues. In 2011 with collaborator Ed DuRanté, he created an adaptation of Anthony Burgess’s novel A Clockwork Orange for London’s Theatre Royal Stratford East. In 2012 he musical directed and arranged Regina Taylor’s Crowns at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre.
