Reginald Harris

Reginald Harris arrived at Poets House in 2000 after almost 20 years’ experience at the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore, Maryland, managing their IT training program, public PC training labs, staff Technology Help Desk and related programs. As a poet and full-time library professional, he has been involved in the development and presentation of poetry and literature-related humanities programming for the Pratt Library and other organizations, and has organized two national literary festivals. He is site manager for poetshouse.org and oversees other technology initiatives including audio and video recordings. He has managed the final year of poetry programming in the public libraries of five cities for the Language of Conservation project, the three-year, ten-city Bridging Cultures: Poetic Voices of the Muslim World project, and leads the annual Poetry In The Branches National Institute for librarians. A Pushcart Prize nominee, he won the 2012 Cave Canem /Northwestern University Press Poetry Prize for Autogeography.
