The Climate Museum

The Climate Museum’s mission is to provide a lasting space for imagining a better future together, to serve as a global hub for optimistic climate awareness and initiative, and to put climate at the heart of our culture, ethics, and public life. The museum, which is currently in its start-up phase, will be located in New York City: international financial center, climate leader, Sandy survivor, museum capital. Its beautiful, stand-alone facility will be transit-accessible and tourist-friendly, its exhibits captivating, immersive, and interactive.

The museum will serve as an essential beacon for enterprising approaches to adaptation and mitigation, starting with our households, classrooms, and communities. It will be a global town square for climate solutions. The museum will draw stories, images, and other content from participants; its programming and design will foster connection, communion, and shared success stories. Visitors will leave empowered to serve as leaders and ambassadors–in lunchrooms, boardrooms, tech incubators, public elections– everywhere we gather, decide, innovate, create.

The forum created by the Museum will endure in sustaining an optimistic and activated climate public—a public focused on credible, ambitious pathways to a prosperous and safe future.
