Overview of what is possible with Grasshopper as a generative tool to design.
I don’t know a lot about this either but definitely want to try it out.
Overview of talking to firely via an arduino. For instance you can have a design on the screen and hook up a few sensors that inform the shape of the design. Inputs then change the form. I don’t know how to do this but what to try to learn the basics for this session.
Students Need only to have Rhino Trial, Grasshopper, and Firefly installed. Currently Grasshopper and Firefly are only for PC.

this driveby will act as a whirlwind maxmsp tutorial designed to explain the basic concepts in an effort to guide ppl who wanna get started.
while the primarly focus will be on paving the way for people who don’t know max, we will also briefly gloss over more advanced concepts like CPU vs GPU (OpenGL) , camera detection, &other Jitter-centric video processing praxes including but not limited to feedback loops, MSP / LFO control of video, live mixing (VJing), & externals.
