Please wrap up your advisement meetings with your Faculty advisers by&nbsp;<strong>Friday, November \u200b8 <\/strong>at the latest. Consent Holds During this Period***<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>11\/18\/24:<\/strong> <em>Sp25 Registration Begins in Albert by Appointment\u200b (for non-ITP courses)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>11\/\u200b25\/24:<\/strong> <em>ITP Classes Open in Albert at 12:00pm \u2013 Noon ET for add\/drop\/swap<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is your responsibility:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.)<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/help\/office-hours\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to sign-up for an advisement meeting<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1tSasxsLTGMGZWMzyoaY5in9xJcsGoXFodRZjwJfOsys\/edit?usp=sharing\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">your Faculty adviser<\/a>, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.)<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/registration\/Admin\/Registration.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to mark your course preferences for the Lottery<\/a> <strong>prior to your scheduled appointment time<\/strong>, so that you can review your Lottery selections with the Faculty adviser and make any necessary adjustments based on the outcome of your meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course Offerings:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can see our course offerings by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/classes\/forum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Forum<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Class Dates &amp; Term Deadlines:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Class-specific dates and other important term deadlines for the Spring 202\u200b5 semester can be viewed on <a href=\"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/help\/sp25-class-dates-and-deadlines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Class Schedule (One-Page Term Overview):<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To see the class schedule as a one-page term overview, <a href=\"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/registration\/Admin\/Schedule.php?year=2025&amp;semester=Spring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marking Your Preferences:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The link to mark your preferences is in the right hand column of <a href=\"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/classes\/forum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Forum<\/a> under \u201cLottery Registration\u201d \/ \u201cEnter Your Lottery Preferences.\u201d You can also click <a href=\"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/registration\/Admin\/Registration.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this direct link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please remember to hit the \u201cSubmit Choices\u201d button after making your course selections to save your preferences, and you will receive a confirmation that your updates have been recorded.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may revise your course preferences at any point up through the <strong>November&nbsp;\u200b12 \u200b5:00pm ET Lottery deadline<\/strong> \u2013 it does not matter when you do this. **The ITP Lottery is <strong>NOT<\/strong> time-based, so entering in your preferences earlier than others does <strong>not<\/strong> give you any advantage over your peers.**<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adjusting the \u201cTotal ITP Units Requested\u201d Box for Thesis Part 2:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Thesis Part 2 (2.0 units) [for 2nd year ITP students] or Internship units are not Lottery classes, and those units must be subtracted from the \u201cTotal ITP Units Requested\u201d Box on your Lottery Preferences Pages.<strong> That means the most a 2nd year ITP student may request in the Lottery is 16.0 units.<\/strong> The Albert term unit limit is 18.0 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ITP Lottery Timeline:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The deadline to submit your preferences for the Spring 2025 ITP Lottery is Tuesday, November 12 at \u200b5:00pm \u2013 Noon ET.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The results of the ITP Lottery will be transferred in to Albert, and class waiting lists will be inputted, from \u200bMonday, November \u200b18 to Friday, November \u200b22 (Dante\u2019s Review). During this time, all ITPG-GT sections will remain locked in Albert with \u201cdept. consent holds.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On Monday, November \u200b25 at 12:00pm \u2013 Noon ET, Dante will \u201crelease\u201d the \u201cdept. consent holds\u201d on the ITP courses, making them available in Albert for add\/drop\/swap transactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dante will share a list of open and waitlist available post-Lottery ITP classes <strong>prior to the releasing of the ITP classes in Albert<\/strong> so students may plan their schedules accordingly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dante lifts the holds on the ITP classes in alphabetical order #A-Z and it can take approx. 1\u200b5 minutes to go through the entire class list, if students are attempting to join open seats in ITP classes and waiting lists, post-Lottery on the \u200b25th.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ITP Faculty Adviser Assignments:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To find out who you are scheduled to meet with for ITP Faculty advisement, please click <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1tSasxsLTGMGZWMzyoaY5in9xJcsGoXFodRZjwJfOsys\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> (Faculty advisor assignments are ordered alphabetically by student NetID).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Book an Appointment with Your Faculty Adviser:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To book an advisement appointment with your Faculty adviser, click <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/help\/office-hours\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Registering for Outside Classes:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ITP students may register for classes outside of the department starting on <strong>Monday, November 1\u200b8th<\/strong> at the appointment time. To find your appointment time, navigate to the Student Center in Albert and under \u201cEnrollment Dates\u201d you should have an appointment time for Spring 2025 registration. If you are unsure of your listed appointment time, or cannot see it, please contact Dante for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any graduate-level courses in outside departments which are relevant to the course of study may be taken and credited toward the Tier 2 Electives for the ITP program. A recommended guideline is 8.0-units of outside classes during the 4-semesters, but students may exceed this guideline, should the courses be relevant to the course of study and discussed with their Faculty adviser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best way to look for classes outside of ITP is by doing targeted searches in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nyu.edu\/students\/student-information-and-resources\/registration-records-and-graduation\/albert-help\/training\/students\/registration\/course-search.html\" target=\"_blank\">Course Search<\/a>.
