Sarah Dahnke

Alumni, Class of 2011

Sarah took her first dance lesson at the age of three at a forgotten studio in the panhandle of Texas. After deeming herself the “best dancer in the class,” she went on to force her brother to perform impromptu choreography at parks in rural Oklahoma and mastered the art of the Funky Chicken on the playground of Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. During Sarah’s 5th grade year, the school cancelled the annual talent show, meaning the world was never able to witness her choreography debut: a trio set to “Too Legit to Quit.” She’s been seeking retribution ever since.

Sarah is now a Brooklyn-based choreographer, performer and multimedia artist with an enthusiasm for collaborations with writers, musicians, robots, small children and senior citizens.

Current residence: Brooklyn, USA
