Marianne R. Petit is the Director of the Interactive Media Arts (IMA) Program at NYU Shanghai as well as on the full-time faculty at ITP. Marianne teaches courses in digital media, storytelling, animation, and paper arts both at NYU Shanghai and at ITP. Additionally, she is a co-director of the Ability Lab, an interdisciplinary research space dedicated to the development of adaptive and assistive technologies, located at NYU Poly MAGNET. Marianne's artwork has appeared internationally in festivals and exhibitions, has been featured in WIRED and broadcast on IFC and PBS. Her mechanical books can be found in numerous collections including the British Library, the Boston Public Library, numerous University collections including Temple University, Savannah College of Art & Design, and Swarthmore University, as well as museum collections including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She is the co-director of her own arts organization, Greylock Arts, a non-commercial arts space dedicated to under-represented and new media arts located in the northern Berkshires.For more information: mariannepetit.com
